The Grade II listed main house, coach house, stables and cottage date back to the early 17th century and The Limes Cottage has been renovated to keep the character of it's past.

Both the Limes and the village where featured on the BBC programme "Heart of the Country". Avon Dassett was the home of the late former War Minister, John Profumo and stories abound about his illicit meetings with Christine Keeler at the Limes.
